1. Overview

Skillhub FZ-LLC (“Company”, “we”, “us” or “our”) operates skillhub.com (“Site”, “Service”). This Privacy Policy (“Policy”) describes how we process your personal information (or data) when you use our Services.

In this situation, we act as the Controller and Processor of your personal data.

2. What is personal information and what is processing or personal information?

Personal information is any information relating to you that, alone or in combination with other information, enables someone who collects and processes such information to identify you as a person.

Processing of the information means any action with your personal data, such as collection, recording, organizing, structuring, storage, use, disclosure by any means and so on.

3. What types of information can we process?

The information that we collect depends on the context of your interactions with the Site and the Services, the choices you make and the products and features you use.

Thus, the type and amount of data we may process depends on the reason for doing so, for instance:

• Billing information. When you make a payment for a Service on our Website, you provide us with your payment and related information. It's important to note that we don't collect, process, or store your payment card details or any other payment-related information on our Website. Instead, we securely transmit this information to third-party payment providers. This data is essential for us to bill you and provide the Service you've selected.

• However, for tax and financial reporting purposes, we retain limited information for a specific duration. This includes only the first six digits and the last four digits of your card. Occasionally, we may need to distinguish you from other users for transactional purposes, such as reconciling receipts, or identifying the card issuer.
• Rest assured, we take the necessary measures to ensure the security and confidentiality of your payment information throughout the process.

4. Sensitive Data

We do not knowingly collect any Sensitive Data about you. Sensitive data refers to data that includes details about your race or ethnicity, religious or philosophical beliefs, sex life, sexual orientation, political opinions, trade union membership, information about your health, and genetic and biometric data. We do not collect any information about criminal convictions and offences. Although we will protect your data well, submitting such sensitive data is at your own risk.

5. Lawful bases for processing

From the first moment you interact with us, we are processing information. Sometimes you provide us with data, sometimes we collect data about you automatically. 

Normally we process personal information from you only: where it needs the personal information to perform a contract with you; where the processing is in its legitimate interests and is not overridden by your rights; where it needs to comply with legal obligations; or where it has your consent to do so.

We may process information to improve and administer our Service, to communicate with you, to ensure security and fraud prevention, and to comply with law.

6. How we process information

We process your personal information for a variety of reasons, depending on how you interact with our Service:

• To provide you with Services (this includes enabling you to use our Service in a seamless manner and preventing or addressing errors or technical issues).
• To communicate with you about your use of our Service, as well as respond to your requests.
• To communicate with you about our cooperation.

• To calculate aggregate statistics and prevent fraud and misuse.
• To comply with applicable laws, and regulations and respond to the lawful requests of the competent authorities.
• To personalize our ads. We and our partners use your personal data to tailor ads and possibly even show them to you at the relevant time. For example, if you visited our Service, you might see ads of our products in your Facebook’s feed.

Steps to opt out of showing personalized ads:

iOS (iPhone/iPad): open the Settings app on your device > Select Privacy > Apple Advertising > Deselect Personalized Ads.

Mac: choose the Apple menu  > System Settings, then click Privacy & Security (in macOS Monterey or earlier, go to System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then select the Privacy tab). Then select Apple Advertising > Deselect Personalized Ads.

Android: open the Settings app on your device > Select Privacy > Advanced > Ads > Toggle “Opt out of Ads Personalization”.

Windows: click Start > Settings > Privacy, select the General tab then toggle off the following option: Let apps use my advertising ID for experiences across apps (turning this off will reset your ID).

It is also possible to stop your browser from accepting cookies altogether by changing your browser’s cookie settings.

We do not send any promotional emails, however, we may send you Service-related emails related to your application. If you no longer wish to receive these emails, you may opt out of them by sending the cancellation letter to support@skillhub.com. ‍

7. Third parties

We share information with third parties who help us operate, provide, improve, integrate, customize, maintain and promote our Site. The types of third parties with whom we share information include, but are not limited to:

• Service providers (data analytics providers (Google Analytics); communication service providers; marketing partners (in particular, social media networks, marketing agencies);
• Payment intermediaries (when you make payments for our Services, we will share your payment data with our payment intermediaries).
• Law enforcement agencies and other public authorities.

We may use cookies and similar tracking technologies to access or store information. If you disable or refuse them some parts of our Service may become inaccessible or not function properly.

9. How long we keep your information

When we have no ongoing legitimate business need to process your personal information, we will either delete or anonymize such information, or, if this is not possible, then we will securely store your personal information and isolate it from any further processing until deletion is possible.

We have implemented organizational, technological and physical safeguards designed to keep your data secure internally. We are dedicated to building, maintaining and upgrading the measures we take to protect your data.

Depending on where you are located geographically, the applicable privacy law may mean you have certain rights regarding your personal data.

11. Is your information transferred internationally?

We may transfer personal data to countries other than the country in which the data was originally collected in order to provide the services set forth in our Terms and for purposes indicated in this Policy. If we are relying on your consent to process your personal information, which may be express and/or implied consent depending on the applicable law, you have the right to withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us.

However, please note that this will not affect the lawfulness of the processing before its withdrawal nor, when applicable law allows, will it affect the processing of your personal information conducted in reliance on lawful processing grounds other than consent.

You can also unsubscribe from our marketing and promotional communications at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the emails that we send, or by using the contact details provided in the last Section of this Policy. You will then be removed from the marketing lists. However, we may still communicate with you — for example, to send you service-related messages, to respond to service requests, or for other non-marketing purposes.

Our Service may contain links to other sites that are not operated by us.

We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of every site you visit.

14. Children's privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 16 or those who are minors according to the laws in your country (“Children”).

If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

Skillhub FZ-LLC will be the controller of your personal data.

We may change this Policy at any time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are up to date with any changes. As far as technically and legally feasible, the Company will notify you about any significant changes by giving notice on the Service and/or sending a notice by contact information.

Changes to this Policy are effective since they are posted on this page.
